Hello all. I have been searching for about a year for a tool, app, or site that tells you how many (and which if possible) extensions a domain is registered in. The brokers that send out the newsletters stating how many extensions are taken in a name refuse to share this information, and those in the industry that normally respond are not. Seems this is a closely guarded secret. I personally love sharing helpful ideas, tools, and methods to help with domain success with everyone who asks or wants information.

Anyone know, or is this a big secret?

https://www.expireddomains.net/domain/test.com
(replace test.com with the domain you want to check)

Thanks much! My Godaddy rep checked around with his other reps and told me such a tool does not exist - ha ha.

Looks like they show you like 30 extensions and you need an API key and subscription to access something else. Not sure what or how that works, but sent them an email asking.

Much appreciate it.

Godaddy being Godaddy wants you to pay for everything.

Namepros community is always helpful.

It is not a secret. Uniregistry is excellent for that purpose, simple and free.

it automatically searches 250 misc top extensions very quickly.

Dofo.com is free and does exactly what you want. Will also show how many TLDs are for sale

Also, quick update regarding NameInvestors
It will soon be easier to search for multiple names, in a click :
You can see a preview of the bulk search here https://nameinvestors.com/bulk
Currently limited to 50 search, but depending on server load, I may increase that soon :)

It could go up to 10k (and more) but at that point, it would consume a bit more ressources
If going that high, I will also add filters to the bulk search page
An API would be possible, but his access will only be granted to customers

No, we don't provide bulk search and API, for now. Maybe in the future.

Being their competition, I can see why they are silent about it.

You can use to see how many extensions are registered for any word.

There are two ways to do that:

Thanks! Great site!

Though I think Godaddy recently made a deal to buy Uniregistry. If you go to uniregistry you'll see a notice at the top of the pages
