Over 46,000 .EU domains are dropping next week. This is the destiny awaiting all of your look-at-my-diamond!!.asia domains. This is not to imply .asia is useless, no - truely valuable names should carry at least constant value over next few years. But all the rubbish will be dropped unless developed. Take care and don't repeat mistakes.

yeah, .eu doesn't look too good. Luckily I have only invested around 15EUR in these, bought 15 quite good keywords for 1EUR special offer, but none are getting any traffic or inquiries from buyers :(

Which language? If it was English, I trust you were at least using a British Dictionary. :)

46k dropping huh... interesting. I only have 2 .eu - sold the other 8 I had after 3 months of regging them.

I only bought 2 .mobi during that craze, sold one and keeping the other (lll.mobi)

Despite the temptation, I've resisted going all out crazy once again... I only got 15 .asia in total. Developed 4 of them already. Out of the other 11 ... 1 is my first name and the rest will get sold soon.

Its always a risk investing in new tld's. The dot com is tried and tested and despite what some believe, theres still decent names out there to hand-reg (rare but true).

A lot of the stuff in the .asia showcase thread is quite sickening though. I'd be surprised if a third of those domains get past the first year of registry. A few have some decent names which they can flip and use the funds to renew their collection... but others... well hopefully they will learn a lesson. I certainly have, luckily by just observing.

Developed 4 of them already?

We need to dump that word Developed and come up with some alternatives hat distinguish between adding useful content to the Internet and just chucking up a load of junk in the hope of getting a premium over parking.

How about "parkeloped" lol..

Yeah by developed, I mean developed. Not mini-site / silly-site nonsense. One example of a developed site is in my sig, the others I'd rather not publicize here.

I would guess their are other factors at work other than luck which determine which poor souls end up with all the lame domains. :hehe:

I skipped over .asia in favor of .tv and .mobi,
kind of like escaping the Titanic on the Hindenburg

Have less then 5 of each and I have specific development ideas for them so not so much at risk.
Sad about .eu though, I didn't get any but it seemed to have potential.

I really had a lot of hope for .eu starting out (before the big registration mess). Very thankful I didn't go with my gut and reg a pile.
