Whats the feeling with this TLD? I picked up a pretty good adult name which if it was .com would be worth a 5 figure sum.

Does is have any real long term value?

Thanks

I would rather wait for .eu instead of getting a .eu.com.

I am aware of .eu(and are patiently waiting for it). I was hesitant of spending the 22.00 on eu.com since I do not know if it worth it long term.

GENERALLY, eu domains will NOT be a success imho. Because of the language gap, most eu countries have diffrent languages, makes no sense to introduce .eu if all countries have their own cctld.

The choice is huge, alot of other tld's availible and being introduced. The .eu will be "just another new cctld with no real direct market!" you have to generalize .eu domains like .com etc.
I think there is only little value in some good keywords like webhosting.eu domains.eu webdesign.eu casino.eu lottery.eu that have actual markets in the extension they stand for. Other than that having a .eu or a .sk or .sc is all the same.

I never liked any blah.blah ext. other then co.uk

Perhaps many UK companies do use uk.com but could that be simply because they couldnt get the real deal .co.uk

I'd go for a .?? before a .blah.blah domain... not that the ext. really matters but it just looks better to me.

"we have a split decision"...

6 months ago my reply would have been ----

3 months ago (after that UK scam company that calls .co.uk owners with the "someones gonna regged your .uk.com domain if you dont, hand over the ยฃ100") would have been

Now i see ad after ad of big companies with the .uk.com extension and my view now is of " you might have something here " tld.uk.com is not the best considering whats still available in generic words in this extension but i can see why your other name had such an offer...

Good luck btw and I agree with birdman above, what the hecks this other stuff got to do with the original post....
