Ok, I own/run Teen Place , a Christian Teen Community. It has some really good growth, in a little over a week, it had like 30 members and over 1000 posts.
It has a PR of 0 now, and no ads on it.
Webalyzer stats here: http://www.vitoxwebdesign.com/tp.jpg
Now, what can I do to make money of it, and get a high PR without spending *to* much in this. I am willing to invest, with high hopes of selling this for a few thousand years down the road. Are google ads a good way to make money? What other ways are there?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

just off the top of my head one thing i would do is add somekind of archive feature (such as namepros) which will index your threads. More theads indexed equals more visitors - so that is one option.

To increase your PR you must have links pointing to your site. So you are going to have to exchange links with other sites to build PR or find a create way to get one way links.

You can add more content to your site such as a shopping section or information related content to help bring in new visitors.

So that is a couple ideas -

Try some banner exchange program!

As for making money yes you should use Google ads or sell some banner ad space and I liked identity_00's idea of making a shop and sell some Christian related products (e.g. bibles, gifts etc.)

Good luck with it :tu:

Link exchanges will bring you higher page rank,But i would consider straight advertising for christian sites and organizations,This will bring you some revenue.

Hi,

AdSense is arguably the best way to monetize the traffic on your site. Forums tend to get very low CTRs, so you'll have to play around with the formatting and placement of your Adsense ad. As for getting more traffic for your site, you might consider subscribing to a pay-per-click program, joining banner exchanges, and posting to forums (which I see you are already doing). Please see my sig for more ideas.

Good luck!
