What is Time Deposit: A Post-Office Time Deposit Account is a banking service similar to a Bank Fixed Deposit offered by Department of post, Government of India at all post office counters in the country.

It appears this a well-known and well-used account type in India that's similar to a savings account here in the U.S. Anyone care to speculate on value in 2 years?

i wish i could 'deposit my time' and get interest paid in terms of 'time' , that would be awesome.

so you are depositing 2 years in your time deposit? and the interest could be handsome, however it is hard for such names to play monopoly in the market.
