after living in texas all my life, I am looking to spread my wings and relocate, I have now cut my desired locations to two, Southern california- most probable , orange county , outside San Diego, The other choice is Colorado,Most likely Aspen, I have found excellent properties at both places, Much more expensive is the housing in both these places than in texas, I have sold off all my land to fund my housing, now it's time to make that move, the problem is, I can't make up my mind, so where better to turn than to my good friends at NP's , Where should old -X- live out the rest of his days?-lol

Depends on your lifestyle.. I enjoyed San Diego when I was there in the 60's but I'd assume it's changed since then.. Colorado would be my choice, were I to choose tho.

As for myself, I never thought I'd find myself living in Missouri (and actually enjoying myself).

They both wonderful places. I would know the weather for both, in use that to help pick your next place. If you aren't a big fan of snow, ice and cold the Cal maybe better for you. I like mellowmasher's idea of renting for a month in both places so you have alittle more feel for it.

I live in Southern Cali and been here for over 16 years. I've also been through Colorado.
Now here's the part of the post that counts: I would ask these questions to help make a decision.
What if any work will you be doing? How much disposable income will you have so that you can travel or visit other places after you move? What do you see yourself doing day in and day out if you don't have to work?

I would probably opt for Cali if you don't have alot of extra income every month and you are older or planning on getting old in your next stop. Reason..snow costs money and good safe care in snow costs money. Home maintenance can also be more expensive. etc.etc....

Either place is great...I just think it depends on a few personal factors which can make one place more suitable than the other.

Colorado for sure! What else could be greater than snowboarding 1/4 - 1/3 of the year!?
