Hey,

I am moving out to the u.s.a but have know idea where. The reason for my post is for all you americans. I am looking for help with regards to estate agents/websites that deal with estate in the u.s.a. The places i am thinking about are as listed.

Las Vegas,
New York,
Florida,
Alabama,
Texas,
San Francisco,
Pittsburgh,

If you are from any where near here and know agents or any web sites that deal with estate in the area's please post phone numbers and url. Prices from $570k - $1.25 mil usd which is about half that in the uk so you get a great deal/house for the money you would spend in the uk.

Thanks for your help guys.

Ps, Photos would be GREAT

Saxonburg is also a nice place (Founded by John Roebling, he is the first to use steel wires for bridges... theres a park and stuff dedicated to him, i used to live there)

I live in Maryland, and I love it. But out of all of the areas I have traveled I'll recommend Pennsylvanian suburbs as the best. Somewhere out in the appalachians, in the mountains, great view, fresh air, lots of trees and trails to walk - great place! Not too hot not too cold throughout the year.

Why not Los Angeles? earthquakes.
Why not Florida? think again when your air conditioner dies.
Las Vegas is an OK option, but too many tourists, IMO (going there myself in 2 weeks).

So, unless you find a good deal on a house somewhere "away" from civilization out in the PA mountains - go with Pittsburg (but I don't like big cities, so definitely not NY :p )

If you move to Maryland, Florida, or Pennsylvania, I can help you with the mortgage process and refer you to excellent realtors!

If you're looking to spend "$570k - $1.25 mil" you should really consider California. Yes, you have SF on there but just 'bout anywhere in California will be better than anywhere else in the U.S. Sorry guys... no offense intended! :)

I've lived all over CA and then Upstate NY and now Dallas, TX and hands down, any part of CA beats any other city I've considered. The reason I like CA so much is the diversity of attractions (things to see and do) and the weather. It just can't be beat! :tu:

And just as an FYI... San Diego is having a HUGE boom in their real estate and so is Las Vegas.

I'm going to PM you the name of a realtor... in case you you decide to come to the Dallas area.

Good luck!

Don't laugh guys...

...but I suggest some nice waterfront property in lower Alabama area. For $500,000-$750,000 you could quite literally buy a mansion near the Gulf of Mexico (maybe even waterfront). Property prices there are sooooo low for what you get. I'm buying a 1905 hotel with 14 rooms + 4½ baths, over 3600 sq. ft. and it comes with a 1500 square ft. second structure. The second building has 2 (rented) apartments and a large office space. The bigger house is a fixer upper that needs about $15,000-$20,000 of work. It's only 6 minutes from the Gulf, 10 minutes from the bay, and less than ½ hour drive to some nice beaches. The total price including ½ acre of land: $75,000! It should still be less than $100,000 after renovations! Shweeeeet! We're moving at the end of the month.

I'd consider some property off the beaten path regardless of where you go. You get a lot more for your money! Good luck!

Brian
