What do you think about using peoples first names in a 2.0 domain, 2 word .com with a highly ranked keyword ?

Such as:

XXXXXbill.com or billXXXXX.com

If you are into these types of domains what do you think on the future of personalized domains especially .com's.

call to action use possibly.

They're great for development (eg. TomsHardware.com), however I certainly wouldn't use them or buy them for anything else.

i'm not as optimistic. i'm assuming that the end-user you'd be targetting is anyone that is the holder of that name.

but that field is so broad. how would you know that they'd be interested in having their own site AND that name? you'd end up shopping that name to a lot of users that don't even have their own servers or barely know how to use the internet

Call to Action is something entirely different. Call to action are names like "dontdrinkanddrive.com" or "savethetrees.com" -- they're calling you to action so to speak (eg. "save the trees" -> stop wasting paper).

Call to Action domains are much more promising.
