Unfortunately I don't see much value here.

2-word .net are dead in the water.

3-word .com can sell but you need names with strong keywords directly associated with business names.

Keep studying the daily sales and don't purchase anything more while you're still learning.

Why do you think so, could you please explain?
Most domains don't really have much value by default.

Can you explain why you think they do have value?

Sometimes it feels odd when I see non-.com, lengthy, and meaningless "garbage" domains sold at auction for high prices.

A lot of them have other stuff going on like backlinks, traffic, etc.

Many of them are not selling based on the domain itself.

Thanks for the clarification. I am new to domaining and still learning.

They don’t sell without extremely strong keywords (that would be 6-7 figures in .com) or backlinks... certainly not at any STR that would make them investable.

Don't you think there's manipulation happening by owners (bot/fake bidding) or the creation of hype by marketplace insiders?

No. There may be some dodgy stuff on individual auctions as there are dodgy actors in every market. But not at the scale that would effect the entire market. And certainly not on 2-word .net, no one is excited about that market and few would be silly enough try to heat it up :xf.laugh:

Most sales are easily explained when you know what to look for.

e.g. Existing backlinks, a previous website, simple bidding war, hot niches etc.
