Can anybody remember so many poor domains being offered for sale on NP. We all started somewhere but, when you look at what is being offered here on namepros , I'm not a seeking buyer but I do take an interest in how desperate the hand reg field/crowd has become.

So much rubbish filling up the new posts threads with bumps, has to be sorted sooner or later before desperate or dreaming name posts become the whole fill of Namepros

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Agree
I’m not an old timer here but lately it really has become too much.

Another thing is the names people keep sending when you create a WTB thread with specific requirements.
Probably 99% not meeting those requirements.
Something must be done.

Yep, I think it time for NP to step-up and use any available filter tools to keep this great forum relevant, it's becoming overwhelmed with yuck selling posts. Wouldn't mind so much if there was the occasional worthwhile post - but there never is.

So many of us use 'New Posts' as a update point then find your digging for anything relevant to domains

I was a newbie once and even though I asked some of the usual newbie questions, I never saw domainers as my target group. It's simply ridiculous and proves that you don't have a clue what you are doing and better do something else.. Even more when you try to sell absolute garbage that you think is gold.

I think NP should send an email on a weekly basis to new members with less than 300 posts for example what to do and what not to do or something like that. That will reduce spam significantly.. Or some notification when they log in or use NP.

I agree. Many members have suggested in the past that new members should not be allowed to make sales threads immediately after joining the forum. It has gotten so bad that it makes it seem more like Name Noobs than Name Pros. Maybe if the first year of membership required just adding their names to one separate list of names for sale that could be scanned by anyone looking for names, instead of allowing every new member to create their own sales threads with worthless names and bump them endlessly. IMHO, that would greatly reduce the clutter of useless threads.

That's an excellent idea.

Let us give this some more thought.
