Hey

I just bought this server from totalchoicehosting.com.

http://www.placeadshere.com/members/signup.php?package=22

That link above is a link to their ads system, but I have verified and it is actually a part of totalchoicehosting.com.

For only $50 + $20 setup fee, you get a free year. I couldn't believe it myself, and I am one stingy guy.. (thanks Iravan) but I did my research and I bought it with paypal.

What's the catch? There's only one left... It started out with 4 per sales representative at totalchoicehosting. There are only 2 sales reps.. Anyway I know someone who is a friend with a friend of a sales rep. Hence I was referred to this. The advertising hasn't gone public because this is just for a promotion of totalchoicehosting.com. I thought it was a scam at first, but everything seems legit. They normally charge $60 / month for this kind of service, other web hosts charge $100 / month (and that's actually cheap).

Might I mention this is a dedicated server..?

This looks suspicious. Anything to back it up?

I don'T see how a Dual 2.8 ghz with 1 gig ram and 200 gb can be at such a low cost.

They don't write the amount of bandwidth either.

I actually need any proof that this is worth it.

Thanks,
Simon

my domain is www.jymweb.com

sorry but the last server was sold... however for today only there's a chance they may order more... but.. I doubt it. They will be setting up my server tonight. You should maybe submit a ticket at www.totalchoicehosting.com and ask them about this promotion... although it was a minor thing...

I mean the price makes it look like a scam.. but the amount of money they have spent into everything from live support to client exec... plus they host over 100 servers... what difference is a few servers to them anyway?

I don't know but i don't feel safe with that offer. Almost seems impossible.

Let me know about your experience with them, after a few months.

Thanks,
Simon

sigh... I'm asking paypal to get me a full refund. The person who I paid to was H20 Engineering, LLC.. which is completely different from any web hostingcompany. Well it's a good thing there weren't any "servers" left for you guys to buy...

i guess it's true..too good to be true...

So how did you "verify" that this was actually part of TotalChoice?

Exactly what research did you do?

I think you need to choose your "friends" more wisely.

This was a very irresponsible posting and you could have cost other NP members money. You should be more careful in the future.

Why you didn't verify this with TCH in the first place is beyond me.

well I guess the main reason was I was hasty.. after all they only had a total of 8 of these servers and with those prices, I wouldn't be surprised if they were gone in the next hour. So i did some very quick questionning and bought it.. according to the sales rep, the server was bought from newegg. At first i was told it was a savvis server but I contacted savvis and they know of no such deal and they said it might be a third party sale. Also it seems the sales rep told me the server was from the same datacentre as totalchoicehosting.com. This was all very rushed and hurried.. I filed a paypal complaint after the admin didn't answer my emails, but this admin DID answer the paypal complaint. He said it will take 24-72 hours to set up server. I'm hoping this is true and if I honestly do get this server within the next few days.. boy.. I'll be offering the cheapest plans ever.

Let us know about your experience. I really hope for you this is not a scam.

But at that price anyone would say it is one.

A server like that one is rented for around $120-$140 per month.
At that price i don't even want to try it out. :P

Please Keep us Upated.

Thanks,
Simon
