That is just one of te reasons why I now do not post domain names for auction on ebay because many of the auctions there are not legit. I would post there only for media explosure (eg. posting some ridiculous domains etc.)

Another twist to low risk sales- a while back, a site was listing a couple of my new regs for sale. The NP concensus was that the guy was listing names that appealed to him, and if an offer was recieved, he would than make an offer to the actual owner and make a buck w/ a quick turnaround resale. Although a little odd, this was fine w/ me- the more exposure, the merrier- although offering me an opt in to the listing would have been more above board way of doing biz. :D

Anyone else run across this?

Someone spammed me last week through my domain auction @ Ebay Through the "Ask Seller a Question" Button trying to get me to sign up for their Domain Auctions/Brokering (Someone who doesn't know that I've seen their "Name" here before - lol) and you can now show All Q's and A's directly on your Auction for all to See - So I did with a "I do not appreciate Spam" Message

Have a look at the seller's conditions of sale, wouldn't surprise me if you see a $15 transfer fee there. $15.00+1.25-7.95-ebay listing fee=profit

Doesnt seem to be the case with the above item, although I've seen the scenario I mentioned now and again. The transfer fee I quoted above is just an example of the way it works. I guess you need to be a good judge of what the market may bear in fees.
