I bought this domain name with the intention for it to be used for a UK-based Olympics-related website for when the Olympics come to London in 2012.

Does it have potential in years to come?

This domain name has even more potential than the 2012 Olympic games. 2012 signifies the end of the Mayan Calender which could have far reaching political and religious overtones. Developing is another matter however but it can have value after the games as a chronicle of the games themselves. This is a tough one to value.

I personally like this type of domain. But you need to know how to market it. It can make you millions if you successfully use it to sell 2012 Olympic Game tickets and other related items. But these great names can often get ruined.

For example, election2006.ca was an excellent domain, but was registered by a guy who didn't know how to market it. Now the Canadian election is over, and it's a piece or garbage.
