us is for Targeting United State people ...The .us extension never really took off and not sure why someone would want to buy the domain off of you unless they were wanting to do a fan site. It would maybe have some value if it was a .com, but the .us hurts it.
Never heard google doing that. Have any articles that back that up, or did I mess something of the years I've been out of the domain biz?

So Google Will Put the US extension the highest priority to the people who searches for this keyword in united state .
It's not that simple... for the domain to rank it has to be developed anyway. ANY domain can be developed. But what is the value of your domain name undeveloped ? This is the question... you missed Something Big man .. Something Called SEO .. it Loves the Geo Targeting Domains .
This is not true. Google will put the highest ranking website first. And while the TLD might have some bearing, it's not often it has much weight. Backlinks and SEO is the most important factors (usually). So Google Will Put the US extension the highest priority to the people who searches for this keyword in united state
Yes but that doesn't mean they will go to your domain, you have to promote, and consider carefully the competition.and the searches are More than 1 Million
You still did not get my point ...This is just info and observations, as I'm new ish to domain selling myself

But now we're talking about SEO and pagerank and backlinks, and this is website value not "domain value"
Then consider that domain sales these days are a different beast to the past. People/businesses pay money for domain names because it's their name, or they want to brand it, or they like it, or it's snappy etc. Big sales are often very brand-able like single word .com (betting.com etc). And while your domain is very popular, that does not in itself make it worth a lot of money, I'm sorry to say.

Searching Google for "the walking dead" the first 3 results are AMC site (PR6), Wikipedia (page rank infinity), and IMDB (PR5).
You should listen to others. With a bit of work, and possible small outlay, (but some time and effort either way) you might get low to mid $xxx, even high, but as it stands it's not worth much.
Consider anyone who might buy your domain could go register "thewalkingdead.site" right now for $10. And TBH I like .site version more than .us as it captures more potential audience (ie what about people in all countries other than US who watch walking dead?)
Good luck![]()
This is not true.but Google will not know how to determine if the domain or site is united state based .. unless there is extinction tell it this ... for example . US
Above linked Google page said:Check the Geographic target checkbox and choose your country target. If you want to ensure that your site is not associated with any country or region, select Unlisted in the drop-down list.
This depends on many factors - niche, competition, TLD, content. It's not that simple. A local shoe store is easier than global PC sales yes, but the walking dead is not a "local" niche, it's global in 126 countries. You should not be limiting your targeted audience to only US.Also local seo is easier than normal seo .
Above linked Google page said:If you use a country-coded domain, you won't be able to specify a geographic location.
Do you know this Video .. explain what im saying all the time ???You seem to think that .us TLD has some significant weight over everything else based on a search within the US, but it's not strictly true, there are many gTLDs, so you still have competition just like any other SEO battle. If this was not true then everyone would be buying .us and outranking their competitors as easily as you say.
Even unrelated sites and TLDs, such as a high ranking blog or news website having an article about the walking dead (etc). Having the .us does not make it any easier to out rank Wikipedia with its .org, or IMDB with its .com etc.
This is not true.

With your SEO knowledge, you should also know then that your .us cannot target other countries, which is a downside given the niche is a global TV show played in 126 countries!
But we digress again, as any domain name can be marketed and given SEO and backlinks, while the ability to do this does factor into a domain name's value, it's not the main reason a domain is worth money unless it already has lots of traffic from SEO etc. OR it has the potential for lots of traffic, and having a keyword rich domain does not simply mean it has lots of potential for traffic without lots of money spent on marketing, and all of this making it worthwhile buying that specific domain and not just another domain.
Simply put in your case, a domain name being about something popular does not in itself make it valuable, especially when it's not a .com.

fear the walking dead has just started ... another 6 years .I get what you are saying, but potential for development and SEO does not necessarily make a domain name valuable within the domain market.
Especially a competative market which will be short lived when the tv show ends. Spending money on seo and marketing and developing a site which competes with others is not worth the roi for the few years it'll be for.
That's just my humble and not highly experienced opinion. Lets wait to see what others say![]()
