Have watched that already few hours ago, as Youtube proposed that to me.

Video is perfect content-wise, great job mate!

Small remark - for me (not sure if other people will feel the same) the background music was pretty loud, and it sometimes distracted me from the spoken words...so If I could choose, I would put it like 50% down.

    Other then that, a must-watch! :)

Ok, I actually watched this. Take this as constructive criticism, many issues.

This is your second thread on the topic. You're causing the mods to do extra work.

You have to lose that music, it's distracting, hard to hear what you're actually saying. Maybe, the visuals in the background as well.

Then the actual content in the video is a bit ridiculous.

First, comparing injector.shop to the .com and .co.uk, parked pages.

Then...........using Alexa, which is a known newbie sign. You're using that to gauge traffic, you know merely having that is helping the ranking right? Easiest thing in the world to manipulate. Then, when you own the site, why use Alexa? Why not give me real traffic stats, like how many uniques a day?

Your sourcing.management, again using Alexa. How about:

    https://www.google.com/search?q=sourcing+managament&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-1

    https://search.yahoo.com/search?p=sourcing+managament&fr=yfp-t&fp=1&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8

What page would I find your site on for sourcing management? Or again, why not just check your stats and give me some real traffic stats?

Is that an honest reply, you actually watched the video? I'm guessing you're going to like anything on new gtlds since your portofolio is 100% new gtlds, even if the video is bad or doesn't make sense.

Yes JB, I watched the video. Yes, I proudly confirm my portfolio is 100% new gTDs. No, I would not like anything on new gTLDs regardless of quality, just because I am fan of new gTLDs, so you guessed that one incorectly :)

Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated.

The .com and .co.uk versions used to be active couple of months ago, I provided this info on the video.
They were even ranking above than us on google last year.

If the theory " new gTLDs are loosing traffic against their .com version " was right than they would be active on internet and keep competing with us. But guess what they are not.. Both websites are closed couple of months ago...

You can verify this by checking the wayback machine on web.archieve.org

I am not sure what you mean here, could you explain?

I mentioned that I never applied any SEO on sourcing.management, also I didn't register the website to any search engines, naturally website is not indexed.

But it has 8.5 Million rank on the web amongst those 1.5 Billion websites out there.

And it's only registered 2 months ago!

Are you suggesting that Alexa is not a good indicator to compare traffics of different websites?

I wasn't incorrect. Tell me why Alexa is a better indication of traffic to one's site, than their own stats.

There are a lot of videos on YouTube on how to manipulate your Alexa ranking. You have that in your Toolbar, which helps. Again, 2 month old site, it's just 1 page. Again, why are you using Alexa, when you can use real stats? I can understand if you're trying to find out what a site you don't own is doing, but this is your site. You don't need to guess, it's not a mystery. Simply look at your own stats. What are they? What are the uniques? Where is the traffic coming from? Where is this in the search engines?

    It's right on their page:

How are Alexa’s traffic rankings determined?

"Traffic Ranks are updated daily. A site’s ranking is based on a combined measure of Unique Visitors and Pageviews. Unique Visitors are determined by the number of unique Alexa users who visit a site on a given day. Pageviews are the total number of Alexa user URL requests for a site."

    https://support.alexa.com/hc/en-us/articles/200449744-How-are-Alexa-s-traffic-rankings-determined-

So you having the toolbar is helping that. And again, traffic estimates. Why are you using that, when you have the real thing?

Well that is not true. The extension I am using is the official extension of Alexa that shows the internet ranks.
I downloaded it from Alexa's official website.

So it is not a tool that is uploaded for manipulating the ranks. You can download it from their website and see yourself.

Again I explained this on the video but I guess due to bad sounding you didn't catch that part.

I realised the rank just a week ago. And I didn't set up any google analytics on it till I shoot this video. Yesterday, I did and I will definetly check those parameters to see what's up.

It is true, I just posted a link to their site explaining it. I didn't say you did it purposely, this is just what happens, this is where they get those stats from. People using the Alexa extension.

You made a video to big-up new gtlds. You posted, look, I have a 2 month old site, just 1 page, look at my Alexa traffic stats. Meaningless. How about something real. How many uniques did sourcing.management get yesterday? Where did the traffic come from? Or post them when you have your first full day of your own stats, real stats.

I love the effort @atinc but you lost me at the dancing skeleton, it just hung on too long :xf.smile:

I think everyone has opinions on the new gtld's and that is why the forum is a great place to discuss those opinions.

I would have liked to see more of you with less music and graphics. Tell us how you feel, make your point and stay on track.

That said, I personally applaud your effort and I will be keeping a sharp lookout for your next video. (y)

Absolutly, I will come and post the stats again and perhaps I will make a new video about what you just said here.

Didn't knew that it is how they collect this data! That's interesting, do you know how many people using these extension out there?

Thanks for your feedback it really worths to take a second look at that subject.

Did you watch the part about jerusalem.tours ? How would you explain that?

Yes, their data is from the extension, toolbar etc. Most people who have that are SEO, affiliate marketing, make money online types.

Back in the day in the affiliate marketing forums, we knew somebody was new, when they mentioned their Alexa stats. If I wanted to know how my own site was doing, I simply look at my stats. Those are real numbers, Alexa is an estimate based on people who have the toolbar, extension.

And, it's one of the easiest things to manipulate (for those that wanted too), it's why it's always been a joke to me - https://www.google.com/search?clien...0k1j33i160k1j33i21k1j33i13i21k1.0.f3jHgxjzUDY

Also, as a side note, and I've posted about this before.

Those who invest in new gtlds should never mention Alexa because:

New gTLDs in Alexa Top 100,000
    https://dnpedia.com/tlds/topgtlds.php

Take a good look at those top sites. Take some of those urls, put them into your browser. Only if you have good security, virus protection etc.

You'll see a lot of blank pages, porn, viruses/adware, illegal content etc.

Went thru a lot of that in this thread - https://www.namepros.com/threads/everyone-saying-to-not-invest-in-gtld.1018888/page-11#post-6171586

561,069 people downloaded it on chrome

4,735 people downloaded it on firefox

    no extension for safari

Roughly 565000 people are determining the traffic estimations of the web. Just like TV rankings only there are much more test class on Alexa comparing to test class for national tv rankings. And interestingly TV channels are making billions of dollars from advertisements that are based on that data.

But checking stats from search engine analytics would provide more specific insights about the traffic, right.

Do you have any idea about jerusalem.tours case? How would you explain it? :xf.grin:

Yes some of the websites have manipulated ranks but you can't generalise it for all new gTLDs.

There are legit ranks as well.

Ex: blog.google ranking 11K on the Web

I also checked the rank of the site dnpedia.com , first time hearing about them. It ranks 3.9 Million on the web. :xf.smile:

Even web.enterprises ranks higher than that :-P

and I assure you that I never even searched the term "alexa rank manipulation" on the web.

And the stats for sourcing.management is completely natural.

My point is, people saying stuff like new gTLDs are loosing traffic to their .com versions, are either lying, speculating or they are just ignorant on new gTLDs.

injector.shop and injectorshop.com is the case study here.

injectorshop.com was an active website since 2000 till 2018 and you can verify this on web.archive.org and injector.shop is active since 2017.

injectorshop.com closed the shop but injector.shop is still active and monetising the business!

I don't think I have lost any traffic to the .com version here. That is my point.

Also someone is trying to book a tour on my efty landing page at jerusalem.tours while there is a tour operator on jerusalemtours.com

Seems like new gTLD domain is not the one which is loosing the traffic here. :xf.grin:

Do you or did you ever said that new gTLDs are loosing traffic to .com on nP forums?

TV rankings are real people, the Alexa numbers are downloads. A good portion probably same person/company, bots, technology etc. Just like there are services selling Instagram likes, Twitter followers etc, there are services selling help with your Alexa ranking.

"And the stats for sourcing.management is completely natural."

You haven't posted any real stats yet. I imagine it would be low being it's only 2 months old, basically a 1 pager. Why would people go there and from where? It's not a built out site.

"My point is, people saying stuff like new gTLDs are loosing traffic to their .com versions, are lying and speculating."

You made no point in the video about that and it's not lying if we're talking about bigger sites that aren't SEO/Google only type sites. Imagine a big business trying to use billboards, commercials etc. there will be loss to the .com, there is no getting around that. This will always be a problem for new gltds.

"injector.shop and injectorshop.com is the case study here."

No, it's not. When you made the video, it was just a parked page. No real stats for either of the sites. You have no access to the .com sites, so you could never say how much traffic they're getting from confusion of the new gtld site.

"Also someone is trying to book a tour on my efty landing page at jerusalem.tours while there is a tour operator on jerusalemtours.com"

Coming to any type of conclusion off of 1 example is silly.

I don't know man, do you think there are bots working to rank google #1 or rank youtube number 2 on Alexa?

My point is their data is not completely useless and actually it reflects valid traffic estimations for the websites that are not using any trick or whatsoever.

Those are bigger sites, look at the smaller ones, easier to manipulate. Just use the examples I posted. Top new gtld Alexa sites, garbage. Obviously, manipulated. Look at your site, probably not getting any/if much traffic, but has Alexa traffic ranking. I've never known a normal person to have an Alexa toolbar/extension. Just online types.

    Again with this:
    "it reflects valid traffic estimations"

Why use that for your own sites, if you have real stats?

I wanted to watch it, but simply cannot. I might suggest you take action on JB’s comments and also look into video creation tutorials or copy the format and designs of other youtubers with 1000’s of followers, lots of good examples to work from. Some basics like proper volume mixing- download Audacity it is a free audio program. The music, fireworks, skeleton are distractions to your message and that is as far as I got since I could not hear your voice above the music so turned the video off. You might remix it, then insert text overlays, like in iMovie on the mac. Another presentation basic is “tell them what you are going to tell them, tell them, tell you what you told them”. Cut it down to 5-10 minutes to keep your audience.

I didnt get to the Alexa comments but if you are going to quote statistics, they should be only from domains you control. Alexa, Google webmaster tools, kw finder, Moz, Semrush, majestic, ahrefs, etc and competitors to Alexa like quantcast are all relative measurements... Not Absolute.

For actual stats examples, take a domain, install wordpress, then Use WP statistics plugin on wordpress and gather data over a few months. Or cPanel Awstats. Keep at it and upload a new version.

Okay,I will send you now. Not gonna share it publicly cause you can easily estimate the past month's revenue based on the numbers. I mean of course if you know how many injectors required for diesel vehicles. Who would want to attract hackers right O_o

injector.shop ranking 5.7 million btw based on Alexa data. I am sending you google analytics for the past month. You will see that Alexa stats are accurate.

I mentioned this earlier, I set the analytics just a day ago for sourcing.management . I am curious as much as you about these questions as well

It was a 18 year old active .com website and only parked 2 months ago - see web.archive.org

I remember they were ranking lower than injector.shop when I checked it a couple of months ago on Alexa. They couldn't compete with injector.shop

I did check archive.org. First, in your video, you didn't even click on any of the links so I could see how the site looked like. Here is the link itself - https://web.archive.org/web/20171001000000*/injectorshop.com

It doesn't show any recent site.

As far as stats, I was only inquiring about - sourcing.management

You could just tell me what it got in the last hour. And where the traffic is coming from. It's just 1 page with a form. I don't expect that to get any traffic. There is nothing there, not developed. It's why Alexa Traffic Rank for that site means nothing to me. Again, using an estimation, when you have access to real stats, since it's your site and in your control.

This is one of my traffic domains I bought and repopulated with content the last 4 months, and it has the worthless data from crawlers, scrapers, bots and rogue hits in blue, and actual repeats in pink. I never look at Alexa for anything. The mar 14 drop was a reindexing in google. Ranking is imo irrelevant to traffic and conversions. IP, visits, referring sites, browsers, etc. all are provided with wp statistics. All old links are redirected to the main page.
