The domain name RankEngine.com just sold for $195 at Afternic. I believe that RankEngine is a superior name to "TheOpenEngine" - this obviously sets a higher ceiling for a potential sale. I would expect this name to fetch not much more than reg fee - you may find a low xx ($25) if your lucky and find someone looking to create a Search Engine for perhaps open source code programs or such. Best of luck and this is just my opinion.

(this is meaning that this name haven't been so hunted)

So , i won't bid more then 30-50$ for this domain name, right now... and about building a search engine, lol ... who will want to build a search engine know a days and for what?! personal web directories/search engines are ... smelling like sxxx this days
