6 figures???

Why so surprised? Don't you know the most common names for newspapers? The Herald / The Tribune / The Express / The Frontier etc. Six figures shouldn't be difficult if sold to a correct media house / organisation.

High xxx to low x,xxx maybe.

Thanks for your appraisal but to me, it seems like a below the belt appraisal. :)

It is a solid brand and could sell for whatever someone is willing to pay, but the odds of it selling for six figures are extremely remote. I think it is worth low $X,XXX - Mid $X,XXX resale, and end user likely low $XX,XXX is realistic.

That one was a company buying it's name basically. They've been around since 1980. Is there a company called The Express with a six figure wallet? Looks like some newspapers out there with the name, shuttle service etc, so who knows.

And for whatever low price one is willing to sell it for. We have seen Cabs.com go for $50k some time back.

Thanks for the list Raymond, I see Berkens is the chart topper for these sales. Almost all the top "the" sales go to him. Probably something about his way of negotiation !! Does he broker for others as well? :)

Correct, I am begining to believe Domaining is very much like Poker. Never betray an emotion :)

He owns 100K+ quality domains, asks high prices, and sells a limited number of domains each year.
That is the secret formula. It works better across an entire portfolio than with one specific domain.

I thought so. Probably his dictum is "MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY". Almost "MONOPOLISTIC" from the pov of a prospective buyer.

100k+ domains would be about $1M in annual renewals alone. So he is probably the only "individual" other than Mike Mann to own such a huge portfolio?

How many Rick Schwartz owns? I admire him much. He does only $MM ones.

Mike is a fan of good "The" keyword domains his wife just had major back surgery so he not been around a lot but I will ask him what he thinks about the name. Now I will say Mike tends to ask high and will tell others to do the same. He can afford to do that, the average domainer cannot.

That would be a great help Raymond, thx much !! :)

Express.com sold to the fashion company which explains the high price.
I believe that "express" is the primary keyword to investigate not "the"
According to namebio, 26 domains ending in "express" have sold in 2015, that is pretty good.
11 of those were over $1,000, 4 over $5,000, and 2 over $10,000. None over $50,000 since 2012.

I would say mid 4 figures is a good target.

For me it sounds like an interesting domain name. Can be used for many businesses. Might be good for email marketing company or shipping company. Best for the end users. In my opinion the value for this domain is $x,xxx. You can grab more than this if you find end users. Good luck with it.
