Good afternoon,

I purchased this domain a while back and have recently had someone offer to buy it from me. What would you estimate I could fairly ask for it?

1. Acquisition Reason: Thought I'd be blogging about TV series/graphic novel series "The Walking Dead."

2. Markets: Most suited for entertainment blogging related to the series

3. Research: I did no research about the domain, simply saw it was available and bought it.

4. End-User Value: I had no thoughts on this

5. Reseller Value: See #4

6. Traffic: Zero, since I haven't ever actually done anything with the domain

7. Revenue: See #6

8. Age: About a year and a half

9. Miscellaneous: N/A

You should always have an idea of who potential buyers are when you buy/register a domain name. I don't think this domain is worth much unfortunately

2. True, but limited, can't be monetized.
3. Bad decision, always research before aquisition.
4. End user value: close to none, you have to pack the idea very good and sell it to someone who want to develop this domain, again, is very limited and not so lucrative to monetize from niche perspective (without involving any trademarks).

6. 7. 8. Doesn't mean anything without at least 1k searches to start develop seo & authority.
9. 3 word domains related to blogging pops up every day in drop lists, the demand is close to none unless is a high searched keyword. At least that's how i see it.

So you suggest I should let the potential buyer make an offer rather than name a price? I'm pretty comfortable with that, though I'm glad a site like this exists so that I can get some idea about whether or not I'm giving up value. Thanks for the replies.

How many people want to start a blog site about walking dead, and also of those few how many have much money to spend, or would want to spend much on your name in particular? How many would even find your name for sale, and how many would be just as happy with something similar hand reg or even $xx from another domainer with sensible prices?

The right person would probs pay low to mid $xxx as it's really not a bad name, but "the right person" in domain sales rarely exists, or won't find your name. That's what makes this likely reg fee I'm afraid, there's just not much demand for your name specifically and plenty of other options for cheap.

Put it on some free market places (Sedo etc) and see what happens. It'll likely be a long wait (or no sell at all).
