-~> INTRODUCTION

While I am sitting here listening to "Ma Sheftak Ella Marra" from Superstar El Arab, Diana Karazon, I figured I would share with you guys the wonderful world of making things appear, then disappear, then appear again, then disappear again... or even something to save you some time creating a cool little effect.

-~> THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF FILTERS...

When Microsoft introduced a series of filters that could create special effects on your web-pages without having to do a lot of image editing and the like, the world kind of looked over it and said, "Bill Gates is just trying to get even more money from us. It'd be cheaper to buy weapons of mass destruction on the black market."

Well, it doesn't cost anything... so the world went wrong with that one.

Such filters as the Alpha, Trans, and others are not commonly used because not too many people know that these filters are available to make your site look like a million and one pesos... (somewhere around $10 USD).

Things like the Alpha filter though:

filter:Alpha(opacity=??, finishedopacity=??, style=?)

can turn a really boring page into something new and fun.

FOR EXAMPLE:
THIS IS EXCLUSIVE- YOU CANNOT SHARE THIS WITH THE REST OF THE BOARD!!

Well... I just might have to kill you if you do... BUT... I had have to know who you are before I could do that... so that option is out of the window... damn *snaps finger*
:iamstupid:

Filters can be used on nearly everying... including those wonderful things we all use called "iframes". Which is exactly what I use on my new website "auhsoj1".

Simply apply the filter code seen above... fill in the four things (or leave the finishedopacity out if you would like one SOLID alpha instead of a weird little dangly doo in it.):

opacity= 1 to 100
the main transparency of the image... 100 being solid, 1 being nothing.

finishedopacity= 1 to 100
the second transparency of the image... again... 100 being solid, 1 being nothing.

style= 0, 1, 2, or 3...

0-uniform
1-linear
2-circular
3-rectangular...

they all look really nice.

Microsoft also has these other filters available for your use and can be used in the "style" tags for the individual objects... or in the style or css scripts you compile for your site...

CODE:
filter:BasicImage(grayscale=?, xray=?, invert=?, opacity=.??, rotation=?)

Mirror = 1 or 0... ^^^
Opacity = anywhere from .00 to 1... example: .85 would mean that the opacity is 85.
Rotation = 0 to 3... each being 90 degree angles to the right... 1 is 90 degrees right... 2 is 180 degrees... 3 is 180+90 degrees to the right... and 0 is no rotation.
