Hi

For this, let's assume that .tel will not be a total flop.

What type of keywords will be most valuable for this extension? Will it be geographical keywords, like newyork.tel, losangeles.tel, etc, or what else?

Who is the cheapest registrar for pre-orders on .tel please?

For that matter who is the cheapest registrar for Landrush? The cheapest I have found is name.com at $295. However, once they said a domain name was gone when it wasn't. Maybe unreliable?

I own TelPortfolio.com which is related to .tel but not actually a .tel and I dont currently own a .Tel Portfolio yet either lol.

Jeez, your certainly no optimist are you? Do you ever have anything positive to say?, it just seems like you take a very pessimist and negative view about everything in general..whilst a bit depressing, at least it's creating debate at the very most I suppose...I kind of get the feeling you wake up every sunny morning on the wrong side of the bed and complain about how awful the weather is, lol. I guess many of us 'telsters' take an entrepreneurial view of domaining and we like to take calculated risks- we may make some mistakes with our decisions but that's all part of learning- if we didnt take any risks we wouldn't get any rewards...while this may seem stupid and foolish to a hard out pessimist who would rather live in the past, looking at past failures within the warm fuzzy comfort and certainty of a good old fashioned .com domain, Im sure us telsters cannot be branded as boring and conservative.We should be congratulated for taking on new ideas like dot tel, new ideas that shouldnt be brandished a failure before even being released. Theres not even anything similar in history to dot tel that can predict it's failure, so to make such predictions is nonsensical. :bingo:

Who said it was going to be easy? It certainly won't be - the point is that an exciting new opportunity is emerging, and so far I haven't heard a convincing argument otherwise. It's all pessimism, bluster, and FUD. I hear it all the time, about everything - I'm British, unfortunately.

Not yet. Bear in mind that Henri, Justin, and perhaps other Telnicsters are in Mexico for the ICANN conference, so if it is launched today then I bet it will be later on when they're all awake..

I could accuse you of the same thing, but instead of being constructive and putting up thoughtful arguments your wish is simply to see other people fail - a (common) psychological disorder IMO, though I don't wish to sound rude.

Why not just spend a few minutes writing a piece that clearly states your apprehensions/objections, and then we might have a healthier debate..
