Wow, you weren't kidding about the brutal comments!
The pictures speak volumes without the commentary!
It is sad to see the reality of what is actually happening
in these wars.

As a doctor has to be analytical to cancer patience so a soldier has to be humorous about war. It's natural to those in the situation to take it lightly in order to deal with it psychologically. Would you rather they spend their time crying over dead enemy combatants? They have a job to do..it's an ugly terrible job...to deal with it...they make light of it. No biggie.

That pic shows these guys ain't just innocent civilians. All the pics are showing dead men. I don't see any innocent women or children. Also look at the gallery from page one. The gory pics are a small portion of the overall gallery. Out of 90 pages you have to get to page 77 in order to see extreme gore with the bad pics.

There are also pics of American soldier hurt.

Overall that gallery shows many aspects of war and Iraq...

Every war has its casualties, and while I do not support the conflict in Iraq, I think one should keep that in mind when viewing those pictures. For any single conflict in history, there are hundreds, thousands (and occasionally millions) of dead, wounded, crippled, handicapped, widowed and orphaned people.

And while I agree that those are not pictures of women and children, I think it's wrong to assume that they're all "enemy combatants" as Bush would have the international community to believe. Surely no one here genuinely believes that the brunt of the war isn't also born by Iraqi civilians?
