Please review layout for my upcoming site

This is my first ever site that does not extend all the way to the edges of the browser, and my first attempt at a stylish layout while we are on that topic. It's for my upcoming site. I have not started coding it yet (it's just an image). Please tell me what you think.

The new design is pretty nice. I like the overall feel of it. You should work on the link color now and add content. Once you add the content I can let you know what I think about the overall look.
