It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it. B-)

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

All those domains were blocked just within 1-2 weeks since registration at Namecheap.
I'm 99% sure that was no any investigation during this very short timeframe... they were blocked by Afilias automatically due to some idiotic algorithm.
Some kind of heuristic...
What exact factors are taken into account by their own software - we don't know...

If I recall correctly, in 2018 another domainer posted in this thread that he had the same blocks on the recent .PRO registrations at Name.com, and they were parked at ParkingCrew as well (according to my own WHOIS research).

Dear colleagues,
Do you know if somebody from NAME.COM registrar are here on this forum?
Was really shocked to see that some of my .PRO domains suddenly changed to ServerHold status :xf.smile:

Also please check your .PRO domains on Name.com registrar - maybe you have the same issue :xf.wink:
Found.

And no doubts, Afilias does the same regarding .info domains at Namecheap...
Automatically and silently...
+ .me
I had such case a few years ago... the domain was at PDR (ResellerClub) & @ParkingCrew nameservers.

So it is only a problem, at either place, depending on the parking service you use? I have some .me at NC and a few .pro at NameCOM, in all cases pointed to Undeveloped, and all seem to remain active.

Yes, I also guess, that for some unknown reason Afilias doesn't like ParkingCrew... especially if those domains are under high-risk registrars by their opinion.

The most realistic version: some @ParkingCrew IPs are blacklisted...
If the domain resolves to those IPs during the automatic check by Afilias - they block it.

I never had this issue at Namecheap in the past...
Probably, because my default nameservers for registrations were set to Bodis...
In ~April I have changed my default settings to ParkingCrew and problems began...

serverHold has been removed today by Afilias.
I spent 8 days on this issue.
Unblock of another 8 domains is still pending...
5.5 days already via Namecheap...

Another 8 domains have been unblocked today.
After 1 week.

Afilias also said that those domains were blacklisted by Spamhaus and that's why Afilias blocked them.
I really don't understand why they blacklist the parked domains... especially when they were parked in the past as well (prior their drop) and traffic on them is ~0 - so it looks like TRUE IDIOTISM.

I just rechecked all these 9 victims - and none of them are listed in DBL.
So really strange blocks...
99% - this issue is regarding the blacklisted IP-addresses.

Regarding @ParkingCrew
I didn't receive any results of their internal investigation, 1 week elapsed.

I guess, some of their IPs were blacklisted due to Email monetization feature.

Just received their response:
We look into this. Regarding email monetization, we don't offer email monetization any longer.
