The .PRO Discussion

[InvisionTech]

It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it.

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

[Ross Murray]

Is the market for .pros improving??

[Jurgen Wolf]

What market exactly?
If enduser-aftermarket - it is stable in 3/4-figure range for many years already...
If reseller-aftermarket - it appeared in 2016...

[Jurgen Wolf]

When you list .PROs at Afternic - are they offered when checking at GoDaddy?
If Yes - it works in "fixed price" mode only?

pages.pro (2005)
$5K

That was my sale, facilitated by my domain brokerage - Domainora.com

Undersold by a factor imho, but any sale is a good sale.

I own webpages...

[MasterGuru]

What do you think about 1and1.com policy in changing NS-servers for your domain(s) to their NS-servers after your domain(s) transffered to them ?
(Name Server: NS-US.1AND1-DNS.COM
Name Server: NS-US.1AND1-DNS.US
Name Server: NS-US.1AND1-DNS.DE
Name Server: NS-US.1AND1-DNS.ORG )

And it always take time to change back ns-servers that was before transfer.
Is it any solution how to avoid this???

[Jurgen Wolf]

No any solution until this traditional behaviour will be reconfigured on their side.

[parkerpeter223]

I am not sure about .pros market, but I believe there may be huge incresae in .pro extensions

[DNGear]

what is the best transfer price now?

[MasterGuru]

what is the best transfer price now?

Yes, also interested in this question. Also looking for alternatives to 1and1.

[Jurgen Wolf]

No alternatives for $2.17 at 1and1.

The lowest transfer is with internetbs.net ($9.99).
Or individual price at Epik.
