It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it.

I have to think that Afilias would have known what they were getting into with .pro and with the history of running .info and other successful extensions they must know what it takes to grow one.

Afilias runs the backend for a number of registries.
Running extensions (the technical part) and promoting extensions (marketing) are two different things
Afilias is only good at the technical aspects.
And the same could be said about Neustar.

As the conversation picks up steam regarding the flavor of the day for new Tlds.....or in this case Tld "Du Jour"

Real business are moving forward with their .pro and building real websites. After all offering a professional service seems rather fitting to this extension

Rather interesting to me in this case was how I stumbled on to this...while looking at Chrome Drive ad ons this is what I found..

That's interesting it looks like the translation of the French word to English is billing
