It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it. B-)

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

I'm personally excited to hear about the Affilias acquisition. Of course time will tell, but it seems to be a positive move as Affilias is focused on developing and branding new TLDs and this type of activity is exactly what .pro needs.

โ€œBut it takes attention, dedication and resources to help a TLD achieve its full strategic potential. Thatโ€™s why Afilias, which is focused on building TLDs, is excited to have .PRO join our portfolio of growing, successful domains.โ€

The new ownership can't hurt, the old were doing presumably nothing to market the TLD.

Def a good thing for the extension which should the most trusted imo.

Exactly in the last day of godaddy's auction, what a coincidence! :)

Which three domains? What were the offers? Real, tangible information could prove very useful to others. IMO

Let's just say I sell my .pro domains for an average of 75-100 times what you sell your .coms for on eBay.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/220874439201

Did the Heritage Universalist Unitarian Church thank you for their $4.10? The Lord works in mysterious ways.

I particularly like the accompanying sales patter "This is one of those rare domains that has a tangible value. Like gold, it has a value that you can touch and feel. There is no guess work with this domain. It is powerful and has established demand."

For real! Better than most keyword.xxx from what I've heard :)

It sounds stupid though... I thought XXX sites were a big no no in pro and its being offered at official auction and it will be the highest bid domain in the list!!!?

you can sell as three letters but not allow the winner to be developed as adult site

What's the GoDaddy auction process if the bidding ended with "reserve not met"?

I may have accidentally won one with a bid not meeting the reserve, lol.

Last minute rush of blood (stupid, eh)

Okay, go.pro made it for $40,000! :kickass:

I wanted to buy gay.pro, but I bid $2,500 and the reserve price still was not met. Maybe I just didn't understand the bidding process, I raised my offer until $2,500 but the high bid left at $705. Although I didn't find out how to raise the high bid when no one else bids.

I think you just have to keep posting higher and higher regardless of what the Bid says. And if you reach the reserve, then the number changes.

I think.

I went as high as I could on art.pro too.

Excellent buy at the price for the buyer, congrats!

Think xxx.pro went for $18k or something too.

:snaphappy: I wonder if the HD camera company, GoPro.com, purchased it? I hope so. That's the kind of high profile enterprise that would bring more credibility to this TLD.
