It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it.

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

I could update my nameservers last night, it stopped working this morning, and now I can update again.

Well, the renewals will be 39.99 or 59.99 so I am not sure how much higher they can go unless they really really want people to start dropping those .PRO.

I'm not sure, I think it takes a few more than 40 days, maybe 43 or 45. But here in Berlin, they always expire at 10 o'clock in the morning. Nice time, because all you Americans are still in bed then! :hehe:

anyone else worried about having lots of .pro names, renewals going back up to $100 a year, and no end user sales?

A sale here and there would be nice, but decided in the late summer not to buy or reg anything I would not plan on keeping for a few years or develop. (Going to sell/drop the ones purchased before this time that dont fit this bracket quite soon)
As for .pro limiting myself to only a few incase the reg fee does go up above the stated 59.99.

Apparently the buyer cannot own a .pro :D

To be really honest I'm happy, sent it to auction coz i needed the funds but had a few sales subsequently and was regretting it, so everything works out for the best. :tu:

You certainly have cause to be upset. The important thing, for your own sense of well being, is not to personalize the matter. From what I caught of the exchange, at worst, Mr. Liao may have felt that you were trying to goat him into changing his auction schedule and/or procedures. In such a situation, a reasonable person would have posted a clarification/objection, and/or notified one of the moderators. Mr. Liao's response to you was not reasonable. Finally, further evidence that this is Mr. Liao's problem, and not yours, is that I've witnessed similar conduct by this individual on previous occasions. Back in the day, the Registry used to host its own blog. I recall coming across several posts from him wherein he used the "f**k you" language without much rhyme or reason. That said, Mr. Liao otherwise seemed to handle his auctions as a gentleman and professional. My personal take on Mr. Laio is that he may be somewhat eccentric, but otherwise harmless. Cheers!

In Vincent's defense, he had been incredibly generous to everybody on that thread, virtually giving .pros away when confusion arose over auction end times, he gave me a .pro free twice for buying 3 .pros, he had stated 3-4 times it was fixed price only, he responded politely twice to Zuriko, first time saying fixed price only, second time telling him to keep his change, but Zuriko kept on making very low $10-$30 offers when the last fixed price adjustment was to $800. Vincent had paid NPs to make the thread sticky, he was selling the .pros at a loss, and had invested alot of time and effort to keep people interested in the thread. Zuriko's very low offers were spoiling his business so I understand why he was annoyed. I don't think Zuriko did what he did on purpose, it was a misunderstanding that got out of hand. Vincent is eccentric but he is the most generous, fair, and trusting person I have ever done business with on NP.

from my small amount of dealings with him i think vincent's great. remember english swear words don't mean as much in other countries.

i've thrown around foreign swear words in other countries too at times because i can only choose between super-polite classroom taught words and $#^@&!
