mwzd, you're a Mod and a .pro domain registrant, if we can't count on you to be gracious about what other people are regging, who can we count on?!
I'm not trying to put anyone down, sorry if it came across like that, just that i think there are a lot better domains to register in .pro than
some that are currently being registered. I'm also not saying all registrations are bad, some are exceptional too.
Thats why I even published the list of availables on the previous page - they might not be the best keywords but see the search metrics on that. And those in the first set all have six figure sales in the relevant .com version.
I would discount metrics for apple / mango / orange / blackberry because they are well known company brands worldwide.
From a brand perspective, I feel that .pro might have an advantage over even .com, let alone any other gtld/stld/cctld. But pure brandability is not what you're looking for with .pro - you must be able to define a business purpose with the domain - online, not leave it up to someone's imagination to come up with it.
So imho - a sailboat.pro or cruiselines.pro would score over pillows.pro. But then, this is just my own perspective, I do not claim to be the ultimate authority on any extension, especially not .pro which forms a really insignificant part of my portfolio in terms of the number of names i have.
I'm actually very happy that .pro reg fees have come down. Now if the renewals also dropped to $30 or thereabouts, I would divest my entire .net/.info/.us portfolios and get .pros, till renewals are where they are its a tough sell for me to convince my people.

@mwzd, I really wondered what should be so bad about fruit names against your tees.pro. To be honest, I didn't know this word before; I'm not a native english speaker, and I had to look it up in my dictionary.
Kuli, nothing bad about fruit names in .pro if you own an orchard for the said fruit or deal in it currently. I hope you do realise that .pro is a developers extension atm, not a domainers, even though there have been some sales.

This, however, doesn't mean say very much about the value of tees.pro. Maybe it's five times more worth than peach.pro or mango.pro, then I'll share your happiness! If you think that banana.pro is completely worthless and the lousiest domain you've ever seen, then it's okay. I asked for a honest opinion.
Any domain registered recently is worth exactly reg fees, let no one tell you any different. But its easier to convince an online t-shirt seller of the benefits of tees.pro than a offline peach dealer of the benefits of peach.pro

I just don't understand why you're making fun of the fact that tees.pro still was available.
I'm not making fun of it, I was quite happy it was, best $25 i ever spent imo. What surprised me is that this was available and people are registering .pro's which have less meaning. Maybe we have a different take on .pro, could be the language differences too.

Classic example of a domain I wouldn't touch in .pro, even if I did adult otherwise (which I dont). This has more of a chance of being cancelled by the registry. And there are a ton of top adult keywords in .pro still available, a lot with much better search results, its still not advisable.
