Whenever a religious movie is created its a shoe-in to create controversy. Whenever any movie is created, its a shoe-in that ePasture's own critic Shia Raviv will have something to say about it:

This is history according to Braveheart. Actually, it’s history according to a religious zealot with too much money and too little talent. Okay, same person. But seriously folks, if you’re gonna go see this 2-hour mega-hyped piece of propaganda... Read the full Review

I'm sure people will have strong reactions to this movie and this review. All I ask is that you remember this is a humor site.

I saw the movie today..
excellent production..

Gibson put up around $25mill of his own funds for this movie.
As well, as putting his "future career" on the line.. with regards to Hollywood.. that's a steep price to pay for something you believe in.. and move on, even against the odds..

Gibson, in my opinion did a great work.. in portraying the event.. as according to the Biblical record.

It's not "easy" to be a Christian these days.. when we live in a world so full of "self"... So, I commend Gibson for his "brave" action in producting this movie.

Thanks for the comments Wanda. I also respect the movie (though I haven't seen it personally). I always enjoy a movie being ripped apart in a review though... even the ones I like. The motivation for my friend to start writing in this style came from the well-known critic at www.moviejuice.com

I think the move grossed around $22 million the first day.

And on the second day, Gibson made a profit!

Your welcome!

Another side note.. that I found quite ironic.. is that the actor
James Caviezel
who played "Christ"

his initials: JC
his age: 33

Jesus Christ (JC) was crucified at the age of 33..

wow!

I have yet to see the movie but plan on seeing it as soon as I can get in to a theatre that isn't sold out.

I don't pay much attention to critics on movies , books or anything. Most of the time what I like and what they like are not the same.:)

I have seen it...

It is actually pretty grousome if you ask me. Kind of annoying also that it is in Latin and Arameic (sp?). Not a bad movie at all, but at least being able to understand all of the dialog without having to read wouldve been a plus.

Herod.. nor Pilate.. found the Christ "guilty".. of any charge..

The pain & suffering the Christ accepted.. was the "Passion"..

the real "passion" that Christ had for all man..

If you doubt about the life and death of Christ..
let's just consider the "reason" behind.. the world
adopting.. the
AD
and
BC

in regards to history.. / time

They are real points jeanco...
it's all true..

Christ died for the sin of all mankind.. that was the "passion" of Christ.

We don't have a Muhammad AD or BD do we? No.. we have a BC AND AD regarding Christ.

Wanda: I fail to see what having a Christ AD or BC and not having a Muhammad AD or BC has to do with anything. I'm not arguing with Christ's passion or anything and its great that you believe in Christ and his deeds with such conviction but the AD or BC is simply irrelevant...

I have not seen the movie but I plan to this weekend.I hope the movie is extremely successful. I think Mel Gibson has gotten alot of slack over it.

You can stop hoping. It made $125 Million in its first 5 days and topped Lord of the Rings: Return of the King to become the highest-grossing movie with a Wed. opening ever!

Well Latin and Aramaic were the languages spoken in the area at that time.
