Using my program DNFinder 2.0 (Which is not out yet, but in BETA upon request), I just wanted to share some fun stuff you can do now.

I created a database of the entire LLL.COM expire and created history and then using my new sort features, I can in seconds find out which names were created a long time ago.

I found these names doing a search query of dates before or on 1986 Febuary 20th...

It's in CSV format, but I think you can tell they are all .com, the first date is the date it was created on. Pretty cool huh?

The oldest domain of them all, appears to be...

BBN.com, Registered on April 24th, 1985. You would think it would be anything else, a pronounceable or something like AAA.com, but nope, BBN.

The Next Oldest appears to be mcc.com registered 1985-July-11th, followed by

dec.com, registered on 1985-Sep-30th

and SRI.com registered on 1986, January 17th.

Man I wish I was alive back then =), or rather not a baby.

Best,
- Joe~

What can DNFinder 2.0 do? Interested

You know what's really sad?...Well, at least in my case...I was a high school senior in 1989 and there was an extracurricular activity club simply named "the computer club"...No one had any interest except the 5 or 6 random "nerds" and "geeks" that actually belonged to the club and I remember walking past their room every now and then, wrinkling my nose and thinking "what the hell are they doing in there?"

Fastforward to today...NOW I know what they were doing in there...getting on the fast track to millionaire status!! :'(

Similar situation here. We had a "specialist" coming in and teaching us a "special" course in computers. All those xorgs and orgs were driving us nuts. Since nobody passed beyond that class they had to drop it for the next semester. The most interesting part is, it was not in United States. That happened in "third -world" country. Our school had access to most advanced systems and computers possible at that moment. USSR's most advanced (at that moment) Anti-missile Radar Station's HQ was located next door and it was concealed as Statistics and Census Bureau. ;)
I wish i paid more attention back then. ;(

Yeah, sure thought you guys would find it interesting, I did =). If you want me to do any other searches let me know, I did one last night for .NET as well.

As for DNFinder 2.0, I plan for my official release in May. Owners of 1.4 get free upgrades to 2.0 which will sell for $149.99 on Gold Version upon release

- Search Any TLD
- Works with Proxies (Specifically the TOR network)
- Automatically downloads Expired Domain Lists and allows you to filter through them and keeps an archive of them for searching later.
- New DNFScript that allows you to create any kind of domain searching possibility, you just have to see it to understand =P, I'll make videos. But 1% of what it can do is search Letter Vowel Letter Combinations, and Letter Letter (Word), or etc of any infinite type of combinations.
- Keyword Suggester
- Full IDN Support
- Stores data it grabs from whoisservers to a database that you can sort
through later for analysis (Which is what I did here).
- The data it stores is (Overture, Google Page Rank, Goolgle...Yahoo...MSN Results, Expires, Created, Status, Available or Not and the WhoIsServer it's data resides on if it's .COM, so you can get information later.
- Use that data, or an email list to automatically inquire about domain names.
- You can also be smart with the data and have it select to only search those that are 'necessary' to search by Date or Status. So if you have it constantly looping on a expired domain list it won't bother searching anything unless it follows certain conditions to speed up searching to just what you want.
- Market within the software for selling your names.
- Chatroom for discussion and purchase of names from other DNF members.
- Amazing Custom File Generator that blows away the other
- And a very nice interface to work in =).

I will make an announcement here when I feel all the bugs are fixed, I'm very close to being finished for BETA. If anyone has ideas for more features to see let me know.

Best,
- Joe~

I noticed those first regged LLL.coms - which are most probably all European and US endusers - are nearly all premium letters. With one third of the alphabet semi and non-premium that is interesting.
