Is it possible to get any discount on expiring doamins? I was searching for an expiring domain and it is up for sale on name.com but the price is insane. 129$ for a really crappy domain which is at most worth 20-30 $.
Is it possible to bring down that price?

Why spend $20 - $30 on a crappy name anyway when you can register it for two - three years when it becomes available to the masses? I got a killer one for $79 recently, so you might increase your budget.

I am seeing a few guys on another forum selling page rank domains aquired from name.com. Such domains are ussually aged. Which means they were aquired without getting dropped. And the price is always in the 30-40 $ range. So it appears there is a way to get some sort of discount on these sales. I am not sure how expiring domain sales work on name.com. Probably there is a coupon or something like that which brings the price down to something reasonable.
Offcource I can not ask them directly. They won't tell me their trade secret.
