Very pronounceable CVCV top the list of non-word LLLL.coms which fetch the most.

VCVC really depend on the letters, unlike AABB and Triple Letters which have a fairly large value (~$500+ for triple repeats/AABB) regardless of letter quality.

On the pronounceable front, you're looking at (in general): CVCV > VCVC > CVVC > VCCV.

With rares, you're looking at (again, on average): AABB > Triple Repeat > ABAB > VVVV > Triple Non-Repeat.


If I had to average it out across all LLLL's, I'd say it goes as follows: CVCV > AABB > Triple Repeat > ABAB > VCVC > VVVV. CVVC/VCCV depend heavily on the letters and pronounceability.

imho, people concentrate too much on domain specs like letter quality. this business has a lot of creativity involved. if you like a name and it seems cheap, buy it. or instead of looking only to if the domain is a CVCV or VCVC see how its stats are on google adwords or run the word into google translate to see if the word has meaning in some language.

i see this pattern of "creativity" on domains as a recurring issue. now people look to CVCV AND good letters. chinese for instance don't seem to care much about them.

what i'm trying to say is instead of trying to know what the average price is for a "static" domain category is try to look to the domain itself.
