the first part of that question, there's no way to say. any domain has infinite potential. i dont think anybody knew that google, ebay, and yahoo would turn out the way they did.

Well of course, Ebay, Yahoo, and Google had no value as domains themselves. It is the money spend on branding is what makes those names so valuable now.

Look at estibot for instance. If the computer brain knew any better, domain appraisal for domain only should be something like $50 or reg fee.

Sex,com isn't worth as much as it was compared to even 1-2 years back, and definitely not compared to its wild west heyday of yesteryear

So much free porn nowadays. Oversaturated.
Plus everyone who pays for a sub has prob already got an account somewhere.
And for one monthly price they get all-you-can-eat porn dominated by a handful of adult ent groups

Yeah it gets traffic but those clicks are worth pennies.
Then again sex,com is (and will always be) a domainer choice and not from the POV of a savvy businessperson with a plan.
