Most Valuable ccTLD

I was wondering what you thought was the most valuable ccTLD (Country Code TLD). Would I be correct in saying that .co.uk is the best?

Which one would you say is the 2nd most valuable one?

.tv... there making it look likes its media.. Why should it count as a ccTLD... EVen though it is, everyone associatates with media.

Agree with the consensus about- .de .co.uk being two of the best.

Consider also, that you can't really rank the extensions as a list- there will be names worth more in one than the other, especially with a difference in language

e.g.:
einkaufen.de would be worth more than einkaufen.co.uk
shopping.co.uk would be worth more than shopping.de

As a general rule, the bigger and richer the country, the better the long-term potential for value in its extension. .tv is likely to be a big exception to this...

I`m talking of ccTlds that really locals use, not jokes of extensions of small islands.

Fine .pk now is not great but in 5 years look at his population following India`s boom...

Well.. .tv, .cc have worldwide acceptance. .us as an extension isn't able to compete with .com as it is more widely used in the US. But in UK. .co.uk is the default extension that comes to the mind of ppl.

Imagine the value of News.tv, Golf.tv etc. These are LOT MORE valuable than News.us or Golf.ca.

Fine .pk now is not great but in 5 years look at his population following India`s boom...

I dont understand what .pk has to do with India. India's economy is booming - agreed. Not Pakistan's!

If i can give you any-keyword.pk or any-keyword.es/.ca/.jp can you trade with me the same keyword in .tv and .cc ? Agree for the deal?

no other cctlds have sold for this amount (nav.no doesn't count lol)

1st. = .de
2nd. = .co.uk

These two are properly established extentions in wealthy, internet savvy countries. Much of the time it is true that keywords in these two will sell for more than the .com as they bring more targetted traffic.

i am hoping .pk will rise but don't expect it anytime in the near future. Ones to watch?

You need to support this with stats. I know that China and India are fast developing coz of outsourcing. But I dont think neighbourig countries or even Indian ocean will develop coz of this.

Consensus is right: .de and .co.uk. Others may emerge, with .tv and .us the most likely contenders. Asian country cctlds (.in, .cn) are likely to become more prominent too, but the nature of their markets will be different -- and whoever correctly figures out the mechanics of those domains, users, and domain buyers, will be in a very good position.
