The Manic Haiku Game

How it works:

Haikus are short poems with the structure 5 - 7 - 5, which means the first line is 5 syllables long, the second one is 7 syllables, and then back down to 5 syllables.

On your turn, you must write a Haiku using a word supplied by the person that went before you. Once you write your haiku using the word, you must then supply the next word for the next poet ;)

Example:

(the imaginary friend before me wanted me to write a haiku about domain names, so here is my Haiku)

I love domain names
in every shape and size
and they love me too

Next Haiku word: HOST

***************************************

... the next person up must write a haiku using the word "host" somewhere in the poem... then proceed to offer the next word.

If you are confused or have any questions let me know, and I will try to explain better...

otherwise, jump in and have fun -

Good Luck

Jennifer

On the internet we live our lives
Unaware of our surroundings
Would the world go under, would we even notice?

Kinda long, kinda stupid IMO, but... oh, well

Next word: chains

chains chains go away...
come again another day..
boohoo, no more lines

my amazingly piece of crap haiku! :)
but atleast it meets 5-7-5...

But I thought they had more requirements?
Like it was supposed to be
a line about anything
7 descriptive words about that line
an ending line ?
if it doesnt hafta be that way, my poem works fine ;)

Lets see someone write a haiku about namepros :P
