What is meant by CHIP? my apologies I'm a newbie.
A Chip/s= Chinese Premium domains https://www.namepros.com/blog/the-origin-of-chips-why-do-we-use-this-term.899340/
Basically it those letters which are often used in Chinese and considered good for the Chinese market. Many brokers in China buy them up wholesale and they went through a bubble in 2015 up to $2,300 minimum from a $20 start in 2014. I believe there is an enduser market for these and felt always the market will firm and it appears it has - they dropped below $800 for a short while 3-4 months ago.
For ease any letter is considered chip except aieou and v
Also the 3L chips seemed to have firmed around $30,000 having dropped to $24,000
I’ve been watching them go up at Chaomi for nine days straight now.
Current minimum there is $1128, for the very worst ones
