It seems that more and more media technology companies are investing in these type of names.

- The stand out I have right now is iWWW.com which isn't the ideal i write name however.
- iCricket.co.in - Getting moderate yet customary movement.
- iArticle.net - Which i simply sold before couple of days here.
- I am looking forward for more "i" enlistment.

Well here's another example, just like numerics, where marketing money has created a trend in Domain Names. Here I think we have (to some degree) to thank Apple.

A large part of the evidence is that In the early days, if you were determined to acquire and could not get the single word then e <word> dot com would be the second choice and i <word> dot com would be the third choice. However, post the Apple Ipod, Ipad, Imac etc revolution, now the preference has reversed and and i <word> dot com has become the second choice de rigueur (i hate that expression but threw it in, anyway).

So (maybe) the order, if the single word is the priority, goes something like:

(1) Single Word Dot Com

(2) i <Single Word> Dot Com

(3) e <Single Word> Dot Com

(4) And failing those, they'd be forced to look at a .net or the local ccTLD
