Every year many of us find themselves in the precarious position to figure something out to put under the :santa: tree for they loved one(s).

Unfortunately, many of us lack the creativity or just simply have a mental roadblock to find just "THAT" item that they'd like to get.
This thread is dedicated to the ones that are missing the creative spark and need some jump starting. So, please do share some of the ideas that you have...

What are you getting for your loved one?

I got my mother and grandmother a new, safer step-ladder... one of those "Little Giant" type of ladders. I'm going to get my father a large (124 sq. inches) George Foreman grill so he can eat healthier (he has some heart issues). And I bought myself a 2007 Yamaha FZ6 shown:

My wife: about 5 pairs of new dress shoes (already coming from zappos.com and shoes.com), possibly a new wrist watch (amazon.com), and super early reservations in Montreal's Hyatt (which is always sold out) for the 2008 Jazz Festival :) (kinda a gift for myself too...)

My babies (3 months old and 3 years old): toys, clothes, toys, clothes, toys, clothes and more toys, some shoes and a trip to Macy's in Manhattan to see Santa (although we plan that every year and it never happens - too cold or too crowded ...)

My Mom, Dad and in-Laws: the best gifts are gift certificates to their favorite stores.

Everyone gets a copy of a custom photo-book (snapfish.com) with pictures and captions describing the most important events in our family during the past year (my 3 year old tradition going very strong) - it takes me over a month to complete though!

My buddies: just today I picked up a discount pass for a newly opened paintball field valid for one year (they will not know it was discounted) :) (last year I got them all paintball guns at a closeout (they did not know it was a closeout deal either ;) )

==========================

And now, since we are also on a subject of dreaming, here's mine (I could not resist... :))
StockPhoto.ashx

hmm, how do I insert it within the post...?

In any case, don't forget that Christmas is not only about the gifts!
best early wishes to everyone!!!

wow! very nice gifts in here. honestly, haven't thought much of it yet but I really wanted to give my father & mother a very nice vacation. somewhere they can relax and breath some fresh air. I hope I can really have it for them.

I am thinking of buying my future husband a new watch and a pair of shoes he's been wanting, though he can afford all that, he just wanted me to give it to him as a present. :)

For my sister, I am giving her money and let her spend it for whatever she wants. In that way she will really like what she will have since it's her own choice :)

I'm taking my Family out for a wonderful dinner before Christmas. Will also buy presents for them like jeans, shirts and shoes that they've been asking for. And since they are so many, I need a much more budget than usual.

I got my girlfriend a concert ticket to see the Spice Girls next month and getting her a personalized gift from the disney store.

I'm getting my mom and sister a luxury spa day voucher and I haven't got round to the rest yet! I like getting original gifts for people though so I spend half of my spare time at the end of November searching, normally :D

My wife: Whatever she puts on her list - I've learned my lesson ;)

My son (4 and a half years old): A used computer I've cleaned up and installed some great kids programs on. He likes to copy me typing on my computer (which has been great for him learning his numbers and letters by the way).

My brother in law: He just started a lawn care business on a shoestring budget so I'm designing a logo for him and getting it printed on about 5 or 6 t-shirts (he has no idea).

Great thread idea!

What about buying a domain name as a present, at least it should go up in value :hehe:

I've actually done that for both my son and my nephew, bought their names and renewed them for a few years so when they're older they'll have them to do with what they please. One was a .com and the other was a .info.

My nephew is 14 and he posts pictures of himself and of all things links it to his MySpace... :td:

Christmas will be a little delicate in my household due to the loss of a very close family member earlier this year, however I'm hoping to treat my parents to something nice.
