Think domain names are getting expensive? A racing pigeon just sold for $1.8 million. Apparently pigeon racing is big business in China. The National Post wrote a story, from the article: The victorious pigeon fancier, whose identity is a secret, spent more than $1.8 to land Armando, a Belgian bird considered to be the “best long-distance pigeon of all time”. The previous record was $60,000 … [Read more...]

I've raced pigeons before. It's easy to beat them because they cant work a stick.

Have you ever really looked into the eyes of a pigeon?

I have.

Let me just say...it's the most sinister gaze known to mankind. The Chinese are beating us in a.i.....beating us in solar.....now pigeon racing. Time to start dusting off the English to Mandarin dictionary.

Don’t laugh. Just like Race Horses breeding rights or speculators on anything or gambling, there are some serious players with big “pots” of non taxed pools of winnings. I know someone who made $XX,XXX cash prize from So Cal to No Cal. Huge risk, many birds crash and burn, get eaten by predator birds, etc. Visited the huge smelly hatchery where 1000’s of birds of various remote owners and breeders kept them, trained and were caged and cared for.

Some good reasons to stick with domaining. :xf.smile:

Interesting news, although I have not much to do with (racing) pigeonsss

But I thought about this dove - deal and in the meanwhile I assume, that this secret millionaire who bought this (racing) pigeon, bought it with the intention that it will help him to find out the price of a certain domain nameee
Obviously he knows, that the price of that certain domain name is the highest domain name price of all time and therefore
...far ...far ...far awayyy

So he invested in the best long - distance (racing) pigeon of all timeee

And now this high - rated (racing) pigeon ...flies ...flies ...flies towards this certain domain name's priceee
