Some people prefer forum, and some forums, from my experience. I'd say 70:30 for singular.

Personally, I prefer forum - singular domains. To be honest, this one was handreg. It seemed good enough to grab for $1.99, and I am in forum domains for a while.

If you start monetizing you risk losing the benefit of 'fair use'.
And not many people are going to buy domains that they can't monetize.

Kate, I believe that there is some room for monetizing, as every project needs some money to operate it. But I got your point, and yeah, it won't be any goldmine...
