Very interesting name, a little forward thinking IMO so value may be low today

But I'd put this on ice and cash out in a few years

It could become a huge ppc term for private satellite companies

So I won't say a low ball appraisal for 'today'

But I'd keep this in reserve knowing it will be a nice IP asset down the road

Congrats it's a nice name

I agree, this is a great example of a forward thinking name, did you hand-reg this one?

This concept is a natural extension of HAB (High-Altitude Ballooning), which has for years been a niche hobby for those who yearn to reach the stars with their homebrew gadgets and thingamajigs.

This is one you reg for 10 years and be patient.

Basic satellites are costing in the region of $300 million then an ongoing cost of $1.5 million per year, personally I can't imagine a company selling something for that much buying anything but the very best domain, such as sat.com

We already know that, it doesn't need to be sad, this post is about the next 'Steve Jobs'.

How clicks that should be one of the most expensive terms in the future, need to be had for the money to pour in when the term is a little more popular?

Today, it's a low search term, but for companies that will be doing this, they will have killer names, but if you CONTROL the industry keyword like this url is, you are a major player on who gets your traffic.

So as I said, it's a great reg for forward thinkers, not a money maker today, but in the future, if you have traffic on this name, even small traffic, you will make a lot of money.

What is 1 lead worth to a future priv sat company that results in hundreds of millions in sales?

A LOT

It's like owning Business Loans .com, I know it's a terrible combo, haha, but it is what every bank wants since it leads to business clients who they make way more money on than a consumer account.

So Loans is great, but banks pay huge money for business loans leads.

There is no such thing as private satellites. Private rather means owned by a corporate entity vs State-owned, plus the hobbyist stuff.
Who are going to sell this name to ?
It's an industry with few players. So the pool of potential buyers is virtually non-existent.
There is no practical use for this domain.

Even if you owned a domain like MarsTourism.com, it's cool from a vanity POV but the value will only be achieved in 100 years maybe (and it's doubtful), not now. As of now it's not exploitable in commerce.

Actually most of the Sats in space now are private and have nothing to do with countries it's mostly communications stuff

yet companies in the near future looking on the term means the few suppliers will be paying huge money to get leads

but granted we're a few years from the full throttle of this term

it's like AI and Nano and Robotics 20 years ago no traffic and today the hottest tech terms in domains
