Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton—joined by Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, and Nevada Attorney General Adam Paul Laxalt—filed a lawsuit last night to stop the federal government from giving away oversight over the internet to an international organization that lists several authoritarian regimes as advisors to its board.

Politicians should butt-out. In case no one noticed, ICANN has been running things their way for years. ICANN's staff and BoD look about as diverse as you can get. The DOC has been rubber-stamping anything ICANN wants anyway.

Look for .US values to rise if control of .com is handed over to Botswana. The ccTLDs remain in control of the host country. That's right, dot-TV will probably mean Tuvalu again, and not "television."
