Telematics dot com is top notch. Taken in all tld's and many cctld's. Part of the string in many domain names also.
A category killer domain in a huge industry. Covers a wide wide range of technology and products and increasing each year. Most people know mainly of GPS but there are many other tech uses that fall under the telematics umbrella.
I think that both hurts and helps the domain, so it's difficult to narrow down a value for it. Practically everyone in the civilized world knows the term GPS, for example, but ask how many people know the word telematics. My friends and family don't. I never hear the word, other than seeing it on this forum. Telematics gets under 15,000 exact monthly searches on Goog, while better-known terms get much more - for example, GPS gets almost 700,000 monthly searches.
However, as even laypersons become more accustomed to tech terms, then tech terms become more mainstream. The right news article in a popular magazine or tv show, and telematics could become a more mainstream term.
I think an absolute minimum for your domain, on a bad selling day, would be $50K. But that's really undervaluing it, simply because it's not much of a mainstream word yet.
The industry built around this term, even if they don't use this term commonly yet, is huge, and if any of them want to take this name and run, a fair price should be easily in the low 6 figures. If they want it badly and there's more than one interested in buying, these are large corporations and who knows how high the bidding could go?
Couple questions: on an important domain like this, why is it just sitting there, the nameservers don't resolve to any page? You should at least have a few dozen pages of original content and some ads on there; how long have you had it and what have you been doing with it? - or is this a fresh buy for you?
Good luck, stellar name
