I just wanna know what would happen to the domains listed in tdnam after the given time expired in auction.

I was browsing through the lists of "expiring soon" yesterday in tdnam but I wasn't logged in and by the time I logged in the time expired. Where would those domains go once it expired if there is no bid on it?

Usually what happens (and I have seen this first hand with names I let drop) is after it dosent sell through tdnam, a company like snap names will pick it up and try to auction it off. If it dosent make it through that round, it drops again and the tasters take a nibble. If there's no traffic you will have to go through a 5 week process but if you want the names(s) bad enough they will once again be available to reg.

If a domain name is at a regular auction, and its expired. It will typically go through the auction period and if not bid upon, will subsequently go to the $5 BIN section for 5 days. If No one bids on it again, the domain name is allowed to expire and go through pending delete status.

Once the domain is deleted, its free game. SnapNames manages to pickup a fair share of the dropping names and auctions them off. Many others are caught by other tasters and if no traffic, most are allowed to expired.

As Siren pointed out, there are different level tasters, and the domain typically will filter through them and eventually be available for registration. Someone who is aware of the process, can ususally snag the domain after the first taster is done with it.

PS - The owner still has the option to redeem the domain. If you want it bad enough, contact the whois owner to redeem and offer to buy it. Redemption is $80 at GoDaddy.
