If expired name auction closed 3/25 14:30 PDT :

1/ when exactly does domain get t/f into winning bidder's a/c (if not redeemed by owner) ?

2/ when is the last day AND time the owner can redeem?
Is it 4/1 midnight or 4/8 midnight or what?

3/ for owner, what is cost to redeem (if he has a GD executive a/c) - is it $80+renewal, or is there a special discount rate?

If you look at your "Won" domains it will say when you get the domains - if you don't already know this.

BUT..... it is eight days in case you did not bid already. BUT, even though it says eight days I have found that 90% of the time you get it in seven days. Why? I don't know.

Yes...... it is midnight they have up to the day before if GD decides to transfer it one day early, but to the eigth day if they run it a full eight days. I lost one domain over a year ago that I paid several thousand dollars for. The owner claimed it on a Friday night about 10:00 P.M on day eight. I totally thought someone at Godaddy had snagged it b/c I considered it to be a $100,000 domain, but the orignal owner still owns it to this day.

To get a domain back it is $80+renewal. I have never heard of a discount for this.

Ok thanks, I see it in the TDNAM control panel

So the domain was already in your a/c - and then t/f back out again?

No..... I just was counting down the hours to "ownership" and had about two more hours to go and the owner redeemed the domain. :|

1. 7 days after auction close.
2. 1 second before auction close. Or if no bids, 72 days from expiry.
3. Nope. No special discount rate.

Sometimes if it's a really good domain, other interested parties will
directly contact the domain owner and try to buy the domain from him.

The owner then might redeem since he'll get something instead of nothing.

If enough people contact the owner, he might have second thoughts and redeem the domain for himself seeing all the interest.

I'm not really sure, but I've received an email saying this one guy counter offered my offer about 20 times today for the same domain.

I watched BirthdayParties.com bid up to over $60,000 on TDNAM as a (hard to believe) expiring domain. The original owner must have been asleep at the switch, but did apparently renew it at the last possible minute according to the Whois ($80 fee would have seemed like a bargain). That would have been a heart breaker for the winning bidder on that one....

Basically in all above cases, the owners are redeeming only when the see the email " Cancellation Confirmation" - they have until midnight that day to redeem by paying $80..

I remember when my ex-GD a/c executives Steven Katz and R Seebold said they couldn't do it for me after I saw the "Cancellation Confirmation".
Lost good domains.

F##king SOB liars
