I bought my first domain from TDNAM yesterday. Having not received the domain in my account, I contacted support and was told I need to go to Email Seller to work out the transfer.
There is no email seller link so Im confused here - how do I get the name into my account? When buying through Namecheap is goes in within seconds so this is all new to me!

Did you buy a name in the closeout or public auction center? Based on your comments I assume you purchased a name that was not in auction on the site but from an individual seller albeit via a "BIN" or "Offer/Counter Offer" scenario. Either way login to your account & click the link for "Won" under "My Bidding List" which will be on your right after you login. Look for the name in question & if it was from a seller, you will see a link saying "EMail seller".

I dont see Email Seller there so I guess it wasn't from a seller.. ?
I bought it as a BIN

Well either way you should see the name listed on the link to your "won" page. It will show you the date your name will be in your Go Daddy account.

It will show the domain & underneath it the date & time it was won. Underneath that you will see what date the name will be yours on. Usually you get it the day before.

Ah i see that.
And it says it will be mine "*Yours On is subject to current registrants rights."

Hmm..... I have never seen that message before. I have always seen a time & date as to when it will be mine. On that page you see nothing about e-mailing a seller near the domain in question?

Nope, nothing about that :(
Can't say Im a fan of TDNAM upon first impressions. At this point I've given them a chunk of money and have received nothing in return.

Was it an expired domain? The expiry period has to run out, and then you will receive the domain. The original owner can still pony up some $$$ and get the domain back until the date listed.
At least, that's how it has worked for me in the past.

Really not sure. It had a Buy Now option, I cant see anything about it being an expired domain or not.

You can lookup the domain whois, here at Namepros under Domain Services near the top of this page. If the expiration date has passed, it's an expired domain.

It expires in Dec this year. So its not an expired domain, there's no seller email and it's not in my account. Hmmmm

It takes 7 days for domains bought at TDNAM to appear in your GoDaddy account.

Thanks stub, I'll stop worrying now.
It's just the first time I've used it so I expected it to be immediate. Now I know :)

This isn't always the case. Different factors determine how long it will take. I have gotten names in as little as 2-3 days & some two weeks, & others in 7 days when they seemed to lower it across the board.

For names purchased off an owner, it depends on them.

I am still baffled at the message he received though as it shouldn't say that. A date should have been listed.

It just means that the date is subject to the previous owner of the domain still having the right to renew it. Basically if he renews it you don't get the domain, thats why the date is subject. And they will refund you if it is renewed.

I am not a fan of Tdnam either, I sold a name to Namepros member there a few weeks ago, he paid, but I still haven't received any info from Tdnam that they would have approved the payment, and they say I can't transfer it before they allow it.

I've had a few purchases from tdnam, and no problems.

That's Godaddy putting the expiration date forward one year.

If no one buys the domain then GoDaddy will release it and
the "new" expiration date will disappear.

Instead of looking the domain up in the Who Is, type it into your browser.

If it's a domain registered at GoDaddy and it has expired,
you will see this at the top of the page:

"Notice: This domain name expired on 01/21/08 and is pending renewal or deletion"

Of course the date here is just an example.

As pointed out here in this thread, the current registrant
can still rescue the domain but few do.

Lately I have been getting expired TDNAM domains I
purchased into my GD account in just a few days.

I get the Godaddy parked page when I type the domain into the browser. Nothing there about it being expired.

If it's 'parked', it should show up soon. Only did one or 2 through them. Some days or a week later, I got an e-mail saying it was completed.
