Tables And Background Image Help?!?

I have some tables at www.thecomputershack.net and they all have a background image. I want the bottom two images to sit next to each other so it looks like one whole image. I have tried the chat room here and even tried talking to people. I swear some people are rude. One guy wanted $20 to fix it and then another wanted $10. I know that the pieces are not acurate for information but I am going to splice more later. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im using IE so it doesnt look to be an IE issue either. 2 options it could be:

1. Maybe we both have same resolution and he is using a different resolution.
2. Maybe he has fixed it... let hope

Well now I sliced it but I can't get any text over it. Some people said I have to make it background images on the tables. Is there a program that does that with one click or something?

Hi,

May I suggest you learn about web design and html and especially how to properly use graphics in html pages or pay a proper developer to do it for you as you obviously don't know the first thing about building websites.

If you leave your site like it is people will simply go somewhere else as your site will take far too long to load.

There are a number of techniques to create repeating background gradients etc that I would suggest need to be done on your site.

If it is not a silly Question ,Why so many Images (Including Spacer.gif by the dozen) for such a Plain Template.
Did you create this or is it one of many similiar Templates I have seen on eBay

I got this from one of the guys on this site. I sliced the image myself and I am going to be moving for a job where I learn web design all summer that carries through the school year. I wanted to get a jump start and no matter where I turn people keep saying I need to learn, yet nobody teaches. I find it kind of ironic.

It is "kind of ironic" that you think that everyone should be willing to help you for free.

I don't mind answering a few questions if they are quick to answer and allow me to show my knowledge to people who might be reading the forum looking to hire a competent web developer. But your sites problems go well past this and would require a lot of work to get anywhere near being an acceptable website and so it is not surprising that no one wants to "teach" you, and it's no surprise that people have asked you for money.

You act as if we are just money grabbing capitalists, and you would be right, why else would we be in this line of work, I certainly don't do it for a stress free life.

Start with something more simple.

If you don't know how to make a background image then you have no chance finishing your site.

Create a single-cell table and add background="image.gif" in the <td> and then type some text in the cell. After you figure that out, learn it in CSS and then maybe attempt to finish your site.

Search for "CSS background images" for more info.

I already know how to do background images on a table but if you set up the tables as multiple backgrounds most of the time they do not match up and look clean.

Okay I really need help. I need a quick fix on how to type over this image. How can I make it a background and fit or something. I really need to start working on this site and I can't because I can't seem how to get text over the image...

This page is very badly sliced, and the layout doesn't help either. Even if you could get all the background images to line up you still wouldn't be able to use it properly.

If you give me the original psd I will slice and code it for 50NB.
