Let say you own iamsoproudiowna.be first consider what it would worth if it was a .com.

If you're optimistic then divide it by a thousand.

If you're a realist then divide it by a million. :)

There you go, my patent-pending system for calculating the value of a .be :D

Your not right. Anytime you buy a domain, regardless .be or .com, when paying money consider the following calculation to find out how much your brand new domain is:

Imagine any amont and then multiply it by a nullion. Here you are. This is a genuine patent hanging technology. People should know about it, so I decided to share.

sorry dont work for me. The value depends on Traffic, How well its remembered, Length, Development and End User! There is no system to calculate what a domains worth.

for me value depends if it can be sold or not for a decent amount of money.

English words with .be are worth nothing, they don't speak english in Belgium, they speak dutch.
Only premium english words are worth something with .be extension.

They speak Dutch in the North and French in the South. The capital Brussels is overwhelmingly French-speaking.

Well it's a bit more complicated than that. Even though English is not one of the national languages, English words are often used.
Therefore some English names may be worth something. The reason is that companies, in order not to appear biased in favor of French or Dutch will register names in both languages, or they use English names instead (to be language-neutral).

For example
http://www.jobscareer.be/
is a major job portal in Belgium, in French, Dutch and English.

The Belgians will be more keen to use English words than the French for instance. But you need to choose them carefully.
'loans' would not be appealing for the Belgian market, but 'credit' is fine.

Hi, would the english words bicycles or bmx bikes be used there in your opinion ?

BMX bikes could be used, that's an international word.
I don't think bicycles is great, but still nice.
Both around mid $XX is my guess.

I dont know, but I think at least one of my .be is quite a gem. www.stopper.be brings 700-1000 unique visitors per month - all type-in traffic. I moved it from SEDO to a minisite and now it generates not bad revenue.

Hmm 700-1000 a month?
That's quite a lot for such a strange name.
It means the same as in english (something that stops something else) but as a word standing alone it doesn't really mean anything.
