Synthetic Instrumentals?

Does anyone know of any program that can create synthetic sounds, like drums, guitar, etc.? I am looking for something, because I need to write music for my band, we have lyrics & stuff down, but I need to hear the music I write, so that is why I am looking for a program to emulate this...

imo TabIt is ideal for writing music for a band.
