Sudden ranking drop at Google

Hi,

as I saw this thread, http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/321341-pagerank-is-something-funky-going-here.html, I am not sure whether its just me or whether there there is a general update going on, however CityPics dropped from a PR4 ranking to PR0 over the last days and I wouldnt really have an explanation for that.

I have to admit that I changed much of the design/functionality over the last days but the links itself should be still valid for most of the part. Also - to my knowledge - Googles ranking is mostly based on inbound links and as far as I know not much has changed there.

Would anyone have an explanation for this ranking drop? Thanks.

I had something like this happen to me, I had a free image hosting site with a PR3, after 2 days I had a PR0, I'm not sure wheather its because people where linking to pictures rather than content and google, changed a little. But a little creepy.

We may not know what exactly it's about for a little while. Some think G is updating backlinks & PR, and your PR will be adjusted soon, or, possibly a change and de-valuing some sites.

That's not really true! We may not love but have to follow who has magic power, like google.
